Church Fundraising Campaigns
Building a new sanctuary, fellowship hall or expanding your ministry through a focused, capital fundraising campaign isn't something taught in seminary. Your focus is on ministry as it should be.
We understand the workings of congregation life: We have worked professionally as fundraising staff working for denomination based ministries, leading world missions’ support for an entire denomination or serving as pastor; and personally by serving in leadership roles within our own congregations, including chairing the board. It is our belief that when spiritual leaders are confident their vision is God’s vision for their congregation and the plan is well laid, raising funds in a spirit of worship is a truly delightful task.
We can assist you with your planning for the future and the building consensus for a capital campaign or endowment building.
Approach to Feasibility Studies And Capital Campaigns for Congregations
Working with members of your staff, members of your Board of Directors/Trustees and key volunteers, our firm will gather critical data that will be used to help guide the congregation in planning for an anticipated fundraising effort. We recognize that each congregation and situation is unique, with its own set of values, opportunities, challenges, and impact in its community. We also understand that faith and God’s direction make the true foundation of any effort.
A feasibility study is always recommended prior to any capital campaign. With churches, nearly all of your fundraising will be limited to within your congregation. As such a feasibility study is absolutely critical. Our goal in conducting congregational studies is to ensure that a focus on securing resources doesn’t supersede faith and honoring God in the process.
Once a study is complete and the results are favorable towards a campaign, we will work with church leadership to create and effectively conduct a stewardship campaign to secure pledges towards the campaign goal.
